This gluten-free homebrew recipe is the culmination of that effort."

Ingredients

Grain Bill

  • 1.5 lb Red Split Lentils
  • 1.125 lb Pale Buckwheat Malt

Fermentables

  • 7 lb Sorghum Syrup
  • 11 oz Cane Sugar

Hops

  • 0.5 oz Cascade Hops (60 min)
  • 0.5 oz Cascade Hops (30 min)
  • 1.0 oz Cascade Hops (15 min)

Whirlpool (185°F)

  • 1.0 oz Cascade Hops

Dry Hop - 24 Hours

  • 1.0 oz Cascade Hops

Other Additions

  • 1 Tablet Whirlfloc (15 min)

Yeast

  • 1 Packet Safale US-05 Yeast

Yeast Nutrient

Use yeast nutrients according to the manufacturer's dosage and timing recommendations.

Brewing Instructions

Toast the red split lentils at 375°F until they develop a nutty aroma and no longer exhibit a raw bean character, approximately 20–25 minutes.
