Description:

Treehouse brewing company famously brews a stout that tastes like Caramel Delight (or Samosa) cookies, it's called Human Condition. This gluten free clone is delicious and I hope you take the time to try it. Great for homebrewers who want to expand their gluten-free beer library with a well-crafted, flavorful brew.

Ingredients:

  • 5 lbs Munich Millet Malt
  • 5 lbs Biscuit 4L Rice Malt
  • 2 lbs Toasted Coconut
  • 1.35 lbs Roasted Buckwheat Malt
  • 1 lb Caramel 240L Millet Malt
  • 1 lb Caramel Millet Malt
  • 0.6 lbs Gas Hog Rice Malt
  • 1 lb Lactose
  • 2 oz Northern Brewer Hops
  • 2 sachet Safale S-04 yeast
  • 25 ml Ceremix Flex
  • 25 ml Ondea Pro

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 30 days
Secondary Ferment: 30 days

Beer Profile

Original Gravity: 1.05
Final Gravity: 1.015
Alcohol by Vol: 4.5%
Color SRM: 40.6
Bitterness IBU: 26.4
Recipe Type: all-grain
Yield: 5.0 Gallons

Procedure:

Roast coconut in the oven @ 350 for 12 minutes, stirring the coconut half way. Toasted is good, burnt is not.
Grind the grains and mix.
Add enzymes to mash water.
Mash @ 125 for 25 minutes
Mash @ 145 for 75 minutes
Mash @ 175 for 25 minutes
Sparge.
2 hour boil:
First hop addition @ 60 mins
Second hop addition @ 30 mins
Irish moss @ 15 mins
Pitch yeast.
Yeast nutrients per dosing and time addition recommendations.
One month fermentation before bottling.
