Recipe to our All-Grain Fantastic Floyd’s IPA Recipe Kit

Ingredients:

  • 10 lb Pale millet malt
  • 2 lb Light roast millet malt
  • 2 lb Crystal millet malt
  • 2 lb Buckwheat malt
  • 1.6 lb Rice hulls
  • 2 oz Citra hops
  • 2 oz Amarillo hops
  • 1 Whirlfloc tablet
  • 1 pkg Mangrove Jack’s M44

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days
Secondary Ferment: 7 days

Beer Profile

Original Gravity: 1.062
Final Gravity: 1.014
Alcohol by Vol: 6.5%
Color SRM: 0.0
Bitterness IBU: 51.0

Procedure:

Perform a Single Infusion Mash at 163.4 F for 90 to 120 minutes; or Step Mash at 155-165F for 90 to 120 minutes followed by 140-150F for 90 to 120 minutes with SEBAmyl BAL 100 or Termamyl, and SEBAmyl L enzymes. Use the appropriate amount of rice hulls to ensure circulation and filtration.

Allow to achieve hot break and maintain rolling boil.

0.75 oz Citra hops (60 minutes)
0.75 oz Amarillo hops (15 minutes)
1 Whirlfloc tablet (10 minutes)
1 tsp DAP (10 minutes)
0.75 oz Amarillo hops (0 minutes with 10 minute rest)
0.25 oz Citra hops (0 minutes with 10 minute rest)

Yeast: Mangrove Jack’s M44 U.S. West Coast Yeast

Dry hopping:
0.5 oz Amarillo hops (Secondary)
1 oz Citra hops (Secondary)
