Description:
Nice Amarillo and Citra hopped IPA. Nice balance of bitterness and well as tropical citrus flavors.
Ingredients:
- 2 lb Crystal Millet malt (Grouse malting & roasting co.)
- 2 lb roasted Buckwheat groats
- 6.6 lb Sorghum syrup 60 min
- 1 lb rice extract 60 min
- 1.5 lb raw sugar 60 min
- .75 oz Citra 60 min
- .75 oz Amarillo 15 min
- 1 tab Whirlfloc 10 min
- .75 oz Amarillo Ko WP 10 min
- ..25 oz Citra ko WP 10 min
- .50 oz Amarillo Dry-hopped
- 1 oz Citra Dry-hopped
- 1 pkg Danstar Nottingham yeast

Procedure:
4 gallons water brought to 160. Place crushed grains in grain bag and steep 30 min. Rinse grains with enough water to bring kettle volume to 7.5 gallon with fermentables included. Bring kettle to near boiling add fermentables then bring kettle to boil. Add hops and finings according to above. Cool, transfer to carboy and pitch yeast. Two week primary, rack to secondary and add dry-hop additions allow 10-14days in secondary. Bottle with 5 oz priming sugar and condition for 20 days or keg and force carb to 2.6.
