Certified Gluten-Free
Pale Buckwheat Malt is a gluten-free base malt designed for brewing approachable, well-balanced beer at home. It provides reliable fermentable sugars along with a mild, nutty flavor profile that adds subtle character without dominating the recipe. Its light color and gentle body contribution make it a versatile foundation for a wide range of gluten-free beer styles. Well suited for gluten-free farmhouse ales, pale ales, and blended grain recipes, Pale Buckwheat Malt is primarily used as part of a layered grain bill to add dimension and complexity. It helps create beer with a rounded malt structure while keeping the overall profile clean and drinkable. For best results, use with enzyme support during mashing to ensure complete starch conversion and consistent fermentation performance. This malt is a strong choice for brewers looking to create expressive, homebrewed gluten-free beer with a naturally grain-forward character.

I can't imagine brewing without buckwheat malt. It really adds mouth that makes people wonder, "Is this really a gluten free beer?" To make this even better, add some enzymes and a good long steep and you'll find the PPG exceeds your expectations. I know it did mine!

Great malt extraction I use it in combination with millet to round out the flavors.

10- 15% in every batch for head retention and body, since I started using this I have never had a beer without a head that would rival that of any barley brewed ale.

Perfect for head retention. Doesn't add flavor but helps with gravity in all grain batches. I use at least two pounds in all my brews.
