Master Brewer of Ghostfish Brewing Co's thoughts on Eckert Rice Malt
We had a conversation recently with James Eckert of Eckert Malting & Brewing Co. Ghostfish Brewing Co in Seattle Washington has recently began using his malts and this is what Master Brewer Jason Yerger had to say: "Eckert rice malts have become a crucial ingredient in our beers. They help us create a wide variety of true-to-style beers, while keeping our lautering times short and our prices consumer-friendly".
There are currently only a few craft gluten free microbreweries in the United States. However, we know of many more that are in the start up phase that will be doting the landscape! (Please do not ask us which breweries or locations as this information is still confidential) Traditionally interest in home brewing is a reflection of a strong microbrewery culture. Our take on this has been that you can go to a store, pub or the brewery itself and enjoy a high quality beer made from the best ingredients that are hand crafted to perfection...and then take that enthusiasm home to your garage or kitchen homebrew workshop. We have enjoyed beers from Eckert Malting & Brewing Co for years, but only recently have been able to enjoy the craft beers from Ghostfish in Seattle Washington! All these fine beers are made from the buckwheat, corn, millet and rice malts made by Eckert Malting & Brewing Co and Grouse Malting & Roasting Co and sold on our website.
